ABOUT

Made in Malawi.
Built for Africa.

We're a production house in Lilongwe that makes films, photographs, podcasts and social content for brands and organisations across Malawi. Here's a little about how we work and what we care about.

One team, start to finish

A lot of productions get stitched together from a freelancer here, a hire house there and an agency somewhere in between. Things fall through the gaps. We set SIMMCO up so that one team thinks, shoots, edits and publishes, and one person picks up the phone when you call.

It means the person who helped write your brief is on set, and the person who shot it is in the edit. It also means one quote, one invoice and no surprises.

Rooted here

We tell stories the way they're told here, switching between English and Chichewa mid-sentence, and we know the roads, the permits, the light and the people. If you're a Malawian brand, we already understand your audience. If you're coming from outside, we're your people on the ground.

HOW WE WORK

Think. Shoot.
Craft. Launch.

A company film, a product shoot, a podcast season or a month of social posts all go through the same four steps. It keeps things simple for you and keeps us honest.

01

Think

Who is this for and what should they do after they see it? We answer that before anyone touches a camera.

02

Shoot

Schedules, permits, crew and kit sorted. Then the shoot days, in the studio or out in the districts.

03

Craft

Edit, colour, graphics, sound and subtitles. You see every cut and we keep going until it's right.

04

Launch

Files delivered in every format you need, then posted, promoted and measured if you want us to.

VALUES

What we
stand for

01

Craft first

A single headshot gets the same care as a national campaign. If it has our name on it, it has to be good.

02

Straight talk

We tell you what it will cost, how long it will take and what could go wrong. Then we stick to it.

03

Local truth

Stories should sound like the people they're about, in the language they actually speak.

04

Grow the industry

We hire Malawian crew, pay them properly and teach what we know. A bigger industry is good for everyone.
